This page explains how usage of the Mambu Agentic Platform is measured, how to keep it under control with user limits, and how to read consumption over time.
How Usage Is Measured
Each product has its own consumption unit.

| Mambu Agents | Credit | Every agent interaction draws down credits. A credit covers the full work of an interaction: running the agent, enforcing its guardrails, recording the audit trail, and retrieving the agent's context. |
| Mambu MCP | Invocation | Every call to the MCP service, including pinging the server, listing its tools, and calling any of its tools. |
Your subscription includes an annual volume of the consumption units for the products you are subscribed to.
The Subscription Portal
The Subscription Portal is where you monitor consumption, set limits, and manage the volume included with your subscription. It is reached from within Agent Studio. Access is limited to users granted the controller role through Agent Studio. See Agent Studio for how access is granted.
User Limits
Limits keep consumption predictable and stop any one user from exhausting the account balance.
- Account limit: a cap on the combined usage of all users in the account.
- Individual user limits: a cap on how much a specific user may consume.
Limits are enforced in real time. When a user reaches their limit, they hit a guardrail and other users are unaffected as long as the account balance is positive. The controller is alerted as the balance is drawn down so they can act before a user runs out of their limits.
Usage Analytics
The Usage area in the Subscription Portal shows consumption over time, so you can see what is driving it and spot anything unusual.
- Account overview: total consumption for the account.
- By tenant: consumption broken down per tenant.
- By user: consumption broken down per user.
Analytics shows which tenants and users consumed what, and when. It does not record the banking data returned by any operation.
Additional Volume
If you need more volume than your subscription includes, the Subscription Portal lets you add it, so a spike in activity is absorbed rather than interrupting your users.
